Product Design

Case Study - Centuries Past Tavern & Brewing

Initial Design Process

This was a school freelance project that my team and I worked with a client on creating assets for our clients business, some working in creating logos, props/coin designs for in their medieval concept tavern, a beer product label design, and a beekeeping product/logo design.

I took on the task of creating the beer product label design. I started creating some concepts, using some basic colors and design assets from our teams creation to keep the designs consistent.

Adjustments Based on Feedback

After submitting my initial designs to our client, I received feedback that they no longer wanted to keep the hourglass logo design we used for the tavern and asked for a graphic of a mug or of a barrel on the side with a spigot.

I had submitted some of the concepts that you can see on the right, using different fonts that fit the style guide they were looking to stick to. The client liked the coloring/fonts used in the bottom right design and decided they also wanted a design in the background of the label.

Final Design

This is my final beer product label design that we came to. I partnered with another student/artist from my class, Miya Greiner, for the background label art. We went with a hatching style for the art in the background as the client wanted something to fit the medieval theme and have the design as people in a tavern setting.
